in the us the only increase comes from immigrants.. q (6) what can we do if we cannot move to where the need for kingdom proclaimers is greater?

Notice the loaded language used through out the study:

missionary ....evangelizer.... declare good news.... proclaimer of the good news.... Kingdom publishers ....evangelizing spirit ....Kingdom preachers ....Kingdom proclaimers....experienced pioneers....missionary assignments.... house-to-house ministry....accomplish our work as evangelizers....successful evangelizers.

The only way to imitate Jesus according to the WTS is to preach the good news. As you stated and never mentioned in this study :

(James 2:15-16) 15 If a brother or a sister is in a naked state and lacking the food sufficient for the day, 16 yet a certain one of YOU says to them: “Go in peace, keep warm and well fed,” but YOU do not give them the necessities for [their] body, of what benefit is it?

Didn't Jesus feed his hungry followers as well as preaching to them? (Mark 6:34-44)

Why don't Elders who are sick and elderly ever step down?

in my 35 years as a witness,there have been many elders in my congregation who were old,sick,tired,weak,and could hardly walk.

they had a hard time reading the material,couldn't remember names, and sometimes forgot where they were in their reading material and talks.they never stepped down as elders.. what are the reasons why most never step down?

can they be asked to step down because of age?

In my 35 years as a Witness,there have been many Elders in my congregation who were old,sick,tired,weak,and could hardly walk. They had a hard time reading the material,couldn't remember names, and sometimes forgot where they were in their reading material and talks.They never stepped down as Elders.

What are the reasons why most never step down? Can they be asked to step down because of age?

MINIMUS

I went to the Memorial last Saturday. (doing it to keep peace in my family) It took me 1 hour to get to the Kingdom Hall. They had ''nerdy'' parking attendants directing traffic and parking. Walked in and 3 different congregations still couldn't fill up the place. Everyone was dressed to kill. No new people. Just family and friends. Attendents sitting in the front waiting to pass the bread and wine.

The opening prayer lasted at least 5 minutes. The same scriptures are used year after year. 15 minutes was used to remind everyone on why they should not partake of the emblems.

The scripture on Jesus praying before he passd the bread was read. Another 5 minute prayer. The scripture on Jesus praying before he passed the wine was read. Another 5 minute prayer.

10 minutes was spent telling all the new ones what meetings the Witnesses have and all the times they are held. The closing prayer was another 5 minutes.

This is a ''sales pitch'' meeting for the WTS. It's a meeting to remind everyone that the are slaves of the WTS. The Memorial just gives the WTS power to control its members since ''they'' partake of these emblems.

I came to this site because the topics go all over the place. This site exposes the WTS for what they really are.....a book publishing corporation hideing in the name of religion. We need to continue this fight exposing them of all their lies and false concepts.

3 A soldier usually wielded his sword with his right hand, leaving that side unprotected by the shield held in his left hand. Yet, he was protected if a friend fought him on his right. If we keep Jehovah in mind and do his will, he will protect us. So let us see how, considering Bible accounts can strengthen our faith so that we "keep Jehovah always before [us]."Byington. (a Bible translation owned by the WTS that uses "Jehovah" in the OT extensively, but not in the NT)

Will he protect me from: ageing,dying,cancer,illness,poverty,disease,drowning,car accident,plane crash,mugging,robbery,suicide,mental illness,loss of job,divorce,and many other bad things that happen in our everyday lives?

I see alot of people that don't keep Jehovah in mind and do his will live better and more meaningful lives. I see no extra benefits that his followers receive. Only the WTS benefit from all its members toil! DO MORE IN THE PREACHING WORK AND JEHOVAH WILL PROTECT YOU(while we sell off all the properties and settle lawsuits)!!!!!!!

Will there be 4 meeting days this week? Or,will one be cancelled?

the memorial is this saturday evening march 22,2008. will they cancel any of the meetings or will they still have the book study,ministry school,and sunday meeting?

Are you mostly disappointed in the WTS beliefs,doctrines,or practices?

i'm here on jwd because of the watchtower's practice of disfellowshipping.

that's is one pratice that really made me question if i really wanted to continue as a member.

i always thought that by kicking the disfellowshipped or disassociated out of the kingdom hall was enough.

I always thought that by kicking the disfellowshipped or disassociated out of the Kingdom Hall was enough. Taking away privilages was good enough for me.

Not talking to someone,eating with them,and having no association with them was too much of a punishment and not Christ like. I will never agree with this practice.

What WTS belief,doctrine,or practice are you mostly disappointed in?

10) Appearances can be deceptive. Ignacio, * for example, began studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses while he was in prison in a South American country. He was feared because of his violent nature. Consequently, inmates who made and sold items to fellow prisoners used Ignacio to collect debts from those who were slow to pay. However, as Ignacio made spiritual progress and applied what he was learning, this once violent bully became a kind person. No one uses him to collect debts anymore, yet Ignacio is content that Bible truths and God's spirit have transformed his personality. He is also grateful for the open-mindedness of the Kingdom publishers who made the effort to study with him.

It's great to hear that Ignacio made spiritual progress all because he studied with Jehovah's Witnesses and that Bible truths and God's spirit transformed his personality. That may be true and things like that really happen. They also happen in other religions.

How come they don't relate the experiences of my local congregation? How come these following experiences never made the Watchtower study?

Three Ministerial Servants( in a 2 year period)were disfellowshipped for cheating on their wives. They left their wives and children and moved in with their new girlfriends. None of them to this day pay child support and all 3 sisters moved in with their parents because they can't make ends meet.

when going in fs, i always felt like it was a one way street or conversation because i was there to argue and defend the contents of the wt and a!

but none of us were allowed to consider as a possibility the other person's arguments.

our job was to turn their minds around but the people on the other side made more sense than i did.

I was full of fire when I first got baptized. I was a teenager with lots of friends who didn't understand what had happened to me. Preaching in school to anyone who would listen was counting service time for me.

Well,one my friends started listening and I would bring books over to his house. I would always invite him to the meetings but he would always decline. His mother walked in one time and I asked her if it would be ok if he read the books and came to one of our meetings. She said,''I will let him take your books and go to your meetings if you take one of our Catholic books and come to one of our services.'' I said that I couldn't read any of their books or walk into a Catholic Church. She said,''If you can't come to our Church,we can't come to yours.''

Mr. Flipper,

I attend only 2 meetings per month. I walk in 1 minute before the song starts and leave as soon as possible. I make up an excuse that my wife is visiting her mother nearby and that she is waiting in the parking lot for me. What other excuses can I use since this one is getting old?
